I recently acquired an old Freemason's Monitor, c. 1870, and it makes many of the same points in explaining the various Degrees and symbols.<br /><br />Freemasonry is a formula and method whereby a man may learn to overcome his animal nature and come to know the aspect of Deity that dwells within each of us.
